Short Historical BackgroundThe more important turning points in the development of Company "CYCLON HELLAS S.A" from her foundation up to today have in the following way: In 1974 were founded the Company with the initial name of PLASTIC MACEDONIA S.A aiming at the foundation and operation of factories of treatment, production and marketing of all goods of pipes and elements from PVC and PE. The company's central office was located in Thessalonica's Industrial Region
In 1990 the Company imported her action in the Athens stock exchange. In 2001 were realized increase of participial capital of Company because fusion with absorption of company "ANONYMOUS INDUSTRIAL COMPANY of TREATMENT of LUBRICANTS AND OILS L. P. C. GREECE S.A "and at the same time her denomination from" PLASTIC MACEDONIA S.A "in" L. P. C. GREECE of - PLASTIC MACEDONIA Anonymous Industrial Company Plastic and Treatment of Lubricants and Petroleum products ". Concretely the fusion in question and denomination of Company were approved by the Repetitive Extraordinary General Assembly of her shareholders in the 1/8/2001, while the approving decision of Ministry of Development was registered in the MAE 7/11/2001. Afterwards the completion of fusion in question the object of company was also extended in the industrial production of basic lubricants, in the production and marketing final (packed) lubricants of products as well as in the disposal of humid fuels.
With from 17.12.2001 Extraordinary General Assembly of shareholders of Company were decided among others the secession of the industrial and commercial sector of plastics and his contribution in Company "PETZETAKJS of NOTHERNER GREECE S.A PLASTIC" up to the change of name in "CYCLON GREECE S.A "
Short background of Company CYCLON HELLAS S.A
In 1980 is founded the company with name "EKVE INDUSTRY MARKETING of LUBRICANTS AND OILS HM", and with discreet title "EKVE HM" from Mr. Vardis J. Vardinoyannis and Theodore J. Vardinoyannis. Begins the work of manufacture of refinery of company in the Aspropyrgo Attica in collaboration with Dutch company KTJ and Italian company TPL.
In 1982 are completed the manufacture and begins the operation of refinery, which includes unit rerefining of used mineral oils, auxiliary benefits and installations of storage of mineral oils.
In 1984 after modification of article of 1 Statute that concerns the name, the company is renamed in "VAROΪL INDUSTRY MARKETING of LUBRICANTS AND OILS S.A".
In 1986 are completed the manufacture of modern unit of mixture of lubricants and begin her operation. The company acquires the possibility of producing final lubricants products. At the same time, the same year, the company extends her activity in the space of Marketing of Paraffins.
In 1987 the company after relative modification of her statute, is renamed in "ANONYMOUS INDUSTRIAL COMPANY of TREATMENT of LUBRICANTS AND OILS L. P. C. GREECE ", that constitutes her current name.
In 1988 the company establishes in the market the lubricants products, under discreet name and logo "CYCLON ". At the same time it organizes her commercial activity and acquires network of sales in all Greece.
In 1991 begin the activation of export sales of Company, beginning from Malta. The products are progressively sold in countries of Middle East, Balkans and in Italy.
In 1993 are completed the manufacture of new unit of production of heavy lubricants of products (Bright Stocks), rendering him LPC HELLAS S.A as the unique company in Greece which produces the particular fraction of basic mineral oil. The new unit was manufactured with the models of technology of French Institute of Oil (IFP). Also in June of same time, the L. P. C. GREECE HM is certified according to the international model of guarantee of quality ISO 9002. the international institution of certification BUREAU VERITAS QUALITY INTERNATIONAL published the certificate.
In 1994 are completed the reconstruction of units of production with result the increase of capacity from 25.000 tons/year in 40.000 tons/year
In 1999 the company enters in the space of marketing of fuels and she acquires network of service stations with the logo CYCLON, which numbers today 143 service stations in all Greece and which permanently is extended.
